DaLipstickBandit of the Week: Ash Fox

This lady needs no introduction really. She's a rad chick (a chick who is so awesome she makes you call her rad) who is amazingly beautiful, has a clothing line that is expanding and is just cool...check her out, wear her shirts if you love Tit Tees and without further ado..Ms. Ash Fox!

1. Ash Fox...is that your real name or your super-cool chic alter-ego? Is that the rocker version of Sasha Fierce, lol?
You're on to me, Felicia. ;) Ash is my given middle name, but it is less common, sleeker and more androgynous than my first name. I guess I take after my grandmother who was born "Ingaborg" and changed her name to "Yvette".

2. No offense, but Ingaborg? Not the sexiest name...Why name your t-shirt company Tit Tees? I dig the name, just wondering what was the inspiration behind it?
"Tit Tees" intended to be a tongue-in-cheek pun, which for me represents girl power and body confidence. While I'm still into the whole in your face attitude of "Tit Tees", I've decided to change the name of the label to simply "ASH FOX", so that it can include items other than tees.

3. I think my favorite shirt is a toss up between the Roxy Studded Sleeve Tee and the one that says "Dirty" (not sure of the name, sorry). Your design aesthetic seems to be fun yet simple with unique details. Is this true of the Tit Tees woman?
Thank you! I'm so glad you like them! As you can see I am into embellishments and hand made details. They are easy pieces that you can thrown on and will instantly glam up your look. They are all adorned with embellishments so that you need little if any accessories

4. Yes, that how I feel about them exactly. Who are you influenced by musically?
I love so many artists but my inspiration changes on a monthly basis. Right now I'm really into Radiohead. I'll always be obsessed with Nine Inch Nails, Peaches, Stone Temple Pilots, Erykah Badu, Mos Def, The Smiths, and The Rolling Stones. I could go on and on.

5.Nice little mix there...Because this is a make-up blog, I have to ask...what's in your toiletry bag?
I rarely purchase makeup other than Physicians Formula bronzer and mascara. I love makeup promotions from Clinique and Lancome. My favorite eyeshadow colors are orange and burgundy. I tend to use eyeshadow as eyeliner.

6. You're naturally beautiful and your eyes really pop. So, whatever you do, its obviously working. If you could steal the clothes off of one woman's back and never have to give it back...who would it be?
There are sooo many, but if I have to choose only one I'll say Siouxsie Sioux. She is in her mid 50's and is still rocking. I love all of the sexy suits Siouxie wore on stage. A sheer polka dot top with a sexy blazer crazy eye makeup. I have a lot of female rock heroes such as Siouxsie, Chrissie Hynde, Debbie Harry. Today most entertainers have stylists, so I generally look to women outside of my generation for inspiration.

7. Wow, she's amazing! I may have to emulate her make-up style one of these days. lol Can I be the plus-sized Tit Tees model? (just kidding...*wink*) You're hauntingly beautiful with your gorgeous baby blues...were you a model in your former life?
Yes! You are freaking gorgeous! I used to pursue modeling because I figured I am 5'10 and live in NYC. I wasn't with any big agency, but I did a lot of fun shoots for independent designers, stock photography, and a fashion spread for Heeb magazine. Modeling made me realize that what I wanted was to be behind the scenes doing the job of the art director. It can be a great source of income, but unless you are an unhealthy weight or are a natural size 0 it's nearly impossible to find work. I am much happier eating the things I love and nourishing my body, mind, and soul.

8. You heard it here folks! DLB and TT together at last! Yea, the modeling industry is kind of janky..but 5'10, can I borrow a few inches? Tit Tees in the future will be (fill in the blank) _____________________.
